Do you take outgoings into account?

We do not take expenses into account. However, there are a few exceptions.

If you have children and you are a full-time working family paying childcare costs to a registered childminder, nursery or after-school club, write to us with details of how much you pay and to whom.

If you have a child or spouse who is a student and you contribute towards their maintenance, please write to us with details of how much you contribute. If the contribution you make has been worked out by a grant-awarding body such as the Local Education Authority, please send us their letter telling you of the contribution you need to make and the amount awarded by them.
