Arts ServicesTaunton Deane has a thriving arts and creative community served by many professional and amateur arts organisations. Taunton Deane Borough Council supports The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre, Take Art!, Actiontrack, Somerset Film and Video, Somerset Rural Music School, Somerset Art Week and the Somerset Partnership of Arts in Education with annual grants. The Tacchi Morris Arts Centre and Wellington Arts Association also provide arts facilities to the community. Many other creative enterprises and community organisations are supported through advice and information, training and networking events and funding. Taunton Deane Borough Council provides funding for professional & commercial creatives through business support grants as well as supporting voluntary groups with community arts and arts development grants. The arts service at Taunton Deane Borough Council works closely with other local authorities and partners on planning and policy issues.
