To make an online payment using a debit card, use our secure online payments service. You will need your Council Tax account number (you can find this at the top of your bill).
You cannot pay your Council Tax using an Electron card or a credit card.
Paying by Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay your bill on time. You can choose to pay on the 1st or the 20th of each month.
To set up a Direct Debit:

You can pay by cash, cheque or debit card at any Post Office free of charge using a Council Tax payment card. Cheques must be payable to 'Post Office Ltd'. Always keep your receipt as proof of payment.
Make your cheque payable to 'Taunton Deane Borough Council'. Write your account number on the back of the cheque and send it to: The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton TA1 1HE. Do not send cash or post-dated cheques through the post.
Use the payment kiosks or cheque deposit boxes at the Council's offices. Opening times are:

If you pay by cheque or at a Post Office, please pay at least five days before the due date so it will get to your account on time.
