Galmington Park

Ideal if you live in Galmington and Comeytrowe. There are two play areas, three football pitches and a changing pavilion with a small car park. The park is on an elevated site and there is a great view of the hills around Taunton.

Priorswood Park

Laid out as a playing field, Priorswood Park has a children's play area, three football pitches, a changing pavilion with a small car park. It can be found alongside Priorswood Road and is bordered by the residential areas of Priorswood and Nerrols Farm. Access through Cleeve Road.

Hamilton Gault Park

This park is well known for its spectacular avenue of Horse Chestnut trees. Hamilton Gault Park has two children's play areas, three football pitches, a changing pavilion with a small car park, outdoor gym and a skate park, which caters for both beginners and experienced skaters, and also for those who enjoy 'street skating' and 'bowl skating'. The facility also caters for BMX riders and inline skaters.

Lyngford Park

The park provides a green area in the midst of a residential area and it has a stream along one side. It caters well for children with two play areas and the Surestart Centre for families with children. There is a basketball hoop, BMX ramps, youth shelter and a football area with goals where casual games are often organised. The park also has a table tennis and outdoor gym equipment.

Hudson Way Open Space

A neighbourhood green space situated off Bindon Road. The play area contains a large wooden pirate ship with climbing nets, slides, tunnels and bridges, along with trampolines, a zip wire, pod swings, cradle swings, spinning and rocking roundabouts and a large hamster wheel. Football goals and skate facilities may also be found on site along with additional room to play and relax.

Taunton Green

Situated near Cheddon Road, the site has two children's play areas, three tennis courts, a multi-use games area, three football pitches, a changing pavilion and a car park. This is an inclusive play area site, with playground equipment that less able children can enjoy, while encouraging cooperative play.

Greenway Recreation Ground

An open space in the midst of Victorian terraced housing, this park is much loved by the local community. It now has two recently installed play areas and a football area with goals where casual games are often organised, with plans to provide more for young people.

French Weir Park

Providing a green area in the midst of a residential area, the park has the River Tone running alongside providing spectacular views across Longrun Meadows. It caters well for children and young people with both an under 5's play area and play equipment designed for older children and adults, all within a landscaped setting. On-street parking is available on Clarence Street.

COACH (Centre for Outdoor Activities and Community Hub) project building will have a rowing, kayaking, canoeing and bike store as well as a store for the "Friends of French Weir" and the "Friends of Longrun Meadow". There is also public accessible toilets, changing rooms, kitchen and an independent coffee shop The Weir.

Hawthorn Park

Situated in Higher Holway, the park provides a large green space and extensive play facilities for everyone within a landscaped setting.

Viridor Green, aka Asda Ramps

This park includes a BMX track, a Multi-use Games Area, challenging play equipment and open space. This park was largely funded by Viridor Tax Credits.

Wellington Park

Wellington Park occupies 4.5 acres (1.82 hectares) in the north-west of Wellington. Gifted to the town by the much respected Fox family it opened to the public on 2 May 1903. Wellington Park is the proud holder of a green flag award from the Civic Trust.
