What is in this data? The pay multiple, which is defined as the ratio between the highest paid taxable earnings for the given year (including base salary, variable pay, bonuses, allowances and the cash value of any benefits-in-kind) and the median earnings figure of the whole of the authority’s workforce.

Why we publish this type of data This dataset is a requirement of the Local Government Transparency Code 2015
Other related information We also publish details of senior salaries (those earning above £50k per annum).
How often is it published? We will publish this data annually. Latest data compiled at March 2017.
When was this data published? April 2017
