The Site Allocations and Development Management Plan (SADMP) was adopted in December 2016. This Plan sets out more detailed site allocations to meet land requirements up to 2028 and also includes specific, detailed development management policies. It fits within the framework of the adopted Core Strategy.
Work on the SADMP began in early 2013 after adoption of the Core Strategy. The Plan was subject to several rounds of public consultation, it was formally submitted to the Planning Inspectorate and Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government in July 2015. An examination was held with hearing sessions taking place in December 2015 and Spring 2016.
The Plan was subject to some main modifications or changes recommended by the independently appointed Planning Inspector as a consequence of the examination. These changes were consulted upon before being incorporated in the final document which was formally adopted by Full Council on 13 December 2016.
