The Trull and Staplehay Neighbourhood Development Plan (TSNDP) has become the second such plan to come into force in the Borough – the culmination of years of work in the parish.
It was made (adopted) by the Full Council this month and now becomes part of the suite of documents used by the Council when making decisions on planning applications in the Parish of Trull, the designated neighbourhood plan area.
Mark Edwards, Ward Councillor and Deputy Leader of the Borough Council, said: “The work of the Neighbourhood Plan Group has been exceptional, their dedication and focus has resulted in a document that adds real value to local planning and I would like to thank everyone involved.”
Roger Habgood, Executive Councillor for Planning Policy, added his thanks, saying: “Neighbourhood plans are used when planning decisions need to be taken and shape development in Trull and Staplehay parish.
“They contain locally specific policies for the parish that provides detail on matters that are of particular importance to the community.
“Congratulations to all who were involved, supported and took an interest - the Trull Neighbourhood plan is now made.”
