Part A - Structural Adequacy

Requirements so that buildings do not collapse:
- that all structural elements of a building can safely carry the loads expected to be placed on them;
- that foundations be adequate for any movement of the ground through for example trees, etc;
- that large buildings are sufficiently robust that an explosion would not cause excessive collapse.
