Demolition

Notice must be given to Taunton Deane Borough Council when buildings are scheduled for demolition.

Building Control officers will then ensure that:

• the statutory undertakers are notified (Water, Electricity, Gas and others);
• that neighbouring residents are informed;
• that adjacent buildings are protected;
• that suitable precautions are taken (Eg. if asbestos is present);
• that the site is left in a suitable condition at the end of the work.
