Somerset's first Creative Business Exchange on Thursday 15 November from 2pm to 8pm at Somerset College.
This event brings together artists, designers, performers and others to showcase their creative work and services, tap into advice and establish new contacts.

Welcome and introduction
From 2 pm onwards
Welcome and introduction to the business advice and support available to creative individuals, businesses and community enterprises.
Hear from and talk to:

- Somerset Arts and Disability Project & Equata
- Spaeda, Somerset Partnership of Arts and Education Development Agency
- Richard Huish Business Development Unit

and many other agencies and creative individuals.

Creative Business advice and discussions
From 2pm to 6pm take part in informal, relaxed question and answer break out sessions covering business planning, financial management, marketing & pricing, disability arts, IT solutions and qualifications.
You can also book your own time slot for one to one advice general business advice and mentoring with Tracy Hill & Richard Rogers from Creative Business Boost and Joanne Vickery from Arts Matrix. Otherwise you can just visit the stalls or attend the group discussions to help yourself to some ideas.
Chat show and open floor discussion
Between 6pm and 7pm there is a
chat show and open floor discussion with key speakers on Creativity in Business, Crossing Boundaries and the Cultural Olympiad.
Creative Showcase
Between 2pm and 8pm there is 'Your chance to shine'

Speakers biographies
John Dent - LOUD Mastering's expertise is unparalleled in the music industry with CD Mastering and Vinyl Mastering in a world class studio in Taunton that combines state of the art sound equipment with unrivalled sonic clarity.
Richard Rogers - Richard, is the managing director of Silverscope Music and former A&R manager for Warner Chapell, he is very experienced in the world of contracts and how to get the music industry interested in your work, how to use your studio time to the full and business planning.
His experience is a must for anyone working on the edge of the music industry, those writing their own music or performing but who want to take their career more seriously.
