Licensing Act 2003

A licence is needed for the following activities:

• To sell alcohol by retail
• If you are a qualifying club, to supply alcohol to a club member, or to sell alcohol to a guest of a club member
• To provide regulated entertainment
• To sell late night refreshment - selling hot food or drink between 11.00pm and 5.00am for consumption on or off the premises, unless you are a hotel, staff canteen or campsite.

Draft Revised Licensing Policy consultation

The Licensing Act 2003 requires the Licensing Authority, (Taunton Deane Borough Council) to Review its Licensing Policy at least every three years.

The Draft Revised policy is available to view and dowload or the policy can be sent on request via email. Hard copies of the policy are available for £5 by contacting the Licensing Unit, The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton, Somerset. TA1 1HE.

The Draft Revised Licensing Policy consultation closes 2nd November 2007.

Application forms are available from the Main Reception at the Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton. TA1 1HE. There will a charge of £10 for each hard copy of the application form.
