The Health & Safety Team is here to:
- enforce compliance with health & safety legislation and to promote good health & safety policy and practice within businesses, where enforcement falls to the local authority within the Borough.
- protect the health and safety of employees and members of the public who may be affected by work activities in the Borough.
We do this through a mixture of education and enforcement, which we call "Positive not Punitive".
