Exmoor and West Somerset

From Exmoor National Park to the Quantock Hills is an area of varied and inspiring landscapes, nestling in West Somerset and North Devon. Enjoy the peaceful, open spaces, clean air, heather-clad moors, ancient forests, deep valleys, sparkling rivers, dramatic coastline, pretty villages and towns and a friendly welcome. The unique and rare breed of Exmoor pony and large herds of red deer freely roam the area. Look up and you will invariably see buzzards soaring overhead. Glastonbury Tor

Mendip District

Mendip District is set in historic Somerset. Popular tourist spots are the historic city of Wells with magnificent Wells Cathedral, ancient Glastonbury Abbey and Tor, Wookey Hole Caves and much more. Mendip has five major areas - Wells, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Street and Glastonbury. It also attracts thousands of visitors each year to events at the Royal Bath and West Showground and the Glastonbury Festival at Pilton in June. Sedgemoor District

Sedgemoor is a special part of Somerset. Relax on seven miles of beach between the family resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Brean Sands. Admire Cheddar Gorge with its spectacular cliffs and famous caves or have a short break in the Mendip or Quantock Hills.
