Benefits
You can claim Benefit irrespective of whether you are unemployed, working or on a low income. Housing and Council Tax Benefit are means tested benefit, paid to people who qualify for help with their rent and council tax.

Environmental Health
Protects the people residing, working or visiting the Borough of Taunton Deane from illness or injury caused by any activity or circumstances over which the Council has statutory powers or influence, and protects the environment within the same limitations.

Heritage and Landscape
Encourage the conservation and enhancement of the Borough's historic and natural environment by providing specialist advice to developers and land owners, and increasing awareness generally and promoting schemes for the improvement of the urban and rural environment, the protection of wildlife and their habitats and the care of historic buildings.

Housing
As a landlord, we own some 6,500 properties. We deal with homelessness and provide housing advice. We help home owners through the provision of grants for improvements, adaptations and repairs. We also promote energy efficiency in all domestic properties.

Leisure Facilities
