Planning Portal help

The Standard Planning Application Form covers a range of application types including Householder, Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent, Conservation Area consent, Tree Applications (including Tree Preservation Orders and Trees in Conservation Areas) and Advertisement consent.

You may wish to submit your Planning Application in an electronic application form hosted by the Planning Portal. Once logged onto the website, you are asked a series of questions to help determine which application form to complete. A detailed form specific to the proposal is generated and once this procedure is completed, can be electronically submitted to Taunton Deane Borough Council.

If you wish to submit paper versions of a Planning application form (external link) you may do so by logging on to the Planning Portal website which will assist you to select the appropriate form to either download a copy or print.

Do I need planning permission?

As from 1st April 2008 you will be required to submit an application for a Section 192 - Lawful Development Certificate to determine if a proposal requires planning permission.

This will replace the current informal letter response to such enquiries. The fee for a Section 192 application is half the appropriate planning fee.
