Car Parking in Taunton
The Borough Council operates Pay & Display off-street car parks in Taunton and Wellington and some free car parks in Wiveliscombe, Milverton and Bishops Lydeard.
Street parking
The Borough Council operates on-street parking meters in Taunton town centre and Residents Parking Zones in areas adjacent to the centre.
Parking enforcement
The Borough Council's Civil Enforcement Officers patrol streets and car parks. They will issue parking tickets (Penalty Charge Notices) to vehicles parked illegally.
Disabled drivers. Blue Badge scheme
Disabled drivers are able to use blue badges to park free in Council car parks and for limited stays in other restricted areas.
Shop mobility
For people who have either permanent or temporary mobility difficulties. Free use of scootas, powered and manual wheelchairs. Go shopping in comfort!
