You can pay your council rent in different ways.
You can pay your rent direct from your bank or building society. You can pay Friday weekly, Monday fortnightly or monthly between the 1st and 28th. You will need your 14 digit rent reference number or 19 digit bar code number, your postcode and a valid payment card (we cannot accept Electron cards).

If you have a bank card you can use our 24/7 Payment Line 01823 356598. Please follow the links to pay rent for council tenants, you will need your 19 digit bar code number, your postcode and a valid payment card (we cannot accept Electron cards).
You can pay your rent at a PayPoint Outlet using the bar code that was recently sent to you - you can request a replacement bar code on 01823 356318. Go to Allpay to find your nearest outlet.
Details on how to pay your rent from a mobile device
You can pay your rent at any Post Office free of charge using your old plastic rent card or using the bar code card valid from 29 March 2018. Always keep your receipt as proof of payment.

Make cheques payable to Taunton Deane Borough Council. Write your rent reference number, as detailed on your rent swipe card, on the back of your cheque along with your name and address. Please do not send your rent swipe card or cash. We will only issue a receipt if you ask for one.
