Missed waste collection

If your recycling, rubbish, clinical waste or garden waste has not been collected by 4:30pm on your collection day, you can report it online.

To find out more information about missed waste due to bad weather see the Somerset Waste Partnership website.

About this service

Collection times during the day can vary. Your recycling and rubbish needs to be put out by 7am on collection days but not before 6pm the previous night. Rubbish and recycling should be placed at the edge of your property where it can be easily seen. Collections for rubbish and recycling are made in separate vehicles usually at different times. Collections normally continue until 4.30pm.

How do I use it?

If put out correctly and your waste has been missed, to arrange a return collection, which is usually made within two working days, complete our online form or contact us by calling 01823 356356.

What happens next?

We will pass on your report to the contractor, who will return within two working days to collect. Please take back in your waste and re-present it by 7am on each day until then.

What is covered?

Your rubbish collection is limited to one rubbish bin or four black sacks per household unless otherwise agreed with Somerset Waste Partnership. We will not collect any more than this.

For a complete list of all materials collected for recycling see the Somerset Waste Partnership recycling page.

For a list of what is not accepted in your rubbish bin or black sacks see the Somerset Waste Partnership refuse page.
