The severe weather may affect schools, bin collections, road conditions and public transport.
Due to the heavy snow and freezing temperatures forecast, the offices in Taunton and Wellington will be closed on Friday 2 March 2018. This includes the Chelston depot where all vehicles, part from 4x4s, are off the road.
This is for the safety of customers and staff.
Somerset Waste Partnership have issued guidance on refuse and recycling collection arrangements in the event of severe weather on their website. If collections are disrupted, further updates will be issued, including on SWP's Facebook page and Twitter feed.
A RED weather warning is in place for our area – this means a significant risk from heavy snow, strong winds and extremely cold temperatures.
Some roads may be closed in rural areas. Please do not travel unless vital and heed the warnings in place.
Please check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours – a friendly word or offer of help is so important.
